Residential Shift Supervisor

Catholic Charities Disabilities Services (CCDS), a leader in services for individuals with developmental disabilities, is hiring for full-time  Shift Supervisor positions within our Residential Services Department.

Locations: Albany and Schenectady, NY

Job Summary: The Shift Supervisor position is found in the larger-volume residential homes and is the second in command to the program manager. This position is first line supervisory and has significant responsibility for the smooth and orderly operations of each shift.

Responsibilities Include; but are not limited to: 

  • Oversight of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Responsible for carrying out direction and administration of program services for the day-to-day shift operation of the program.
  • Work cooperatively with the Program Manager in developing staffing patterns to assure that residents have adequate staff coverage at all time; rearrange staffing as necessary to ensure adequate coverage to meet resident's needs.
  • Ensure that the resident's funds are dispensed appropriately and all receipts for same are obtained and recorded in ledger.
  • Assisting Program Manager in various administrative duties.
  • Supervise and monitor appropriate reports, data, and record keeping by the DSP's.
  • Provide direct care services in accordance with the Direct Support Professional Job Description.


  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and personal transportation is required.
  • 2 years of experience working as Direct Support Professional in a residential home with individuals that has ID/DD is required. 
  • Ability to generate electronic reports and documents is required.
