We are accredited by the Council on Quality Leadership (CQL) for having an exemplary vision of dignity, opportunity and community for all people. Our accreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in person-centered services, and provides a framework to continually develop and improve the quality of our services.

CQL accreditation is grounded in an organization-wide systems approach and over 40 years of leadership and peer-reviewed research. CQL accreditation promotes excellence in person-centered services and provides a framework for organizations to improve the quality of supports they provide. It’s about continuous improvement in organizations, but beyond that, it is about giving organizations the tools to provide supports which allow individuals supported to live the lives they want. The Council on Quality and Leadership is dedicated to the definition, measurement and improvement of personal quality of life for people receiving human services and supports. The CQL provides a seal of approval that only approximately 400 organizations have acquired world-wide.

There are four building blocks to achieving Person Centered Excellence Accreditation from The Council on Quality and Leadership.

  1. Shared Values: Does the agency really believe in quality of life? Do they live out their mission, vision, and values?
  2. Basic Assurances: Health, safety, and human security are essential but the agency’s role also includes empowerment of individuals and their families.
  3. Personal Outcome Measures: Is this person living the life they want to live? The Personal Outcome Measures are a series of questions / indicators to guide a conversation about what really matters to the person. The answers let the agency know if they are really providing the supports desired by the individual to live the life they truly want.
  4. A Plan of Person-Centered Excellence: This is the road map for the agency to improve. It includes goals and benchmarks for the agency to achieve over a multi-year period. To learn more about the CQL accreditation process visit: The Council on Quality and Leadership
