Self-Directed Supports Self-Direction empowers individuals by providing them the opportunity to manage their services and supports based on their personal strengths and needs. Through Self-Direction, our staff work with individuals to help them design their services such as; selecting service providers, choosing supports, determining how to use funding, and coordinating schedules. Self-direction gives individuals more control and flexibility to choose the mix of supports and services that work best for them, so they can live the life they desire. Through Self-Direction individuals are given the opportunity to make decisions about supports and services that help them to: - Enjoy meaningful relationships with family and friends - Experience health and growth - Live in the home and community of their choice and - Work, volunteer or do activities they enjoy Questions?
