2018 EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR Olivia with event attendee, Andrew, at our Valentine’s Social, February 2018 Olivia Fagan is described by colleagues as passionate about the work of Catholic Charities Disabilities Services (CCDS). Olivia began her career with CCDS by providing community habilitation services to a young man with autism while she was attending The University of Albany. After college, she continued working for CCDS taking on the position of a Shift Supervisor at two of our residences. In 2014, she joined our Human Resources department as our agency’s recruiter. Her background in providing direct care, and the relationships she’s built with the people we support, motivate her to recruit the best of the best. She aims to find compassionate people, who, after working with the people we support, become passionate about the field and use that passion to educate the public about what we do. Olivia says recruiting people for the hardest job they will ever do, for the lowest amount of money they will ever make, is the biggest challenge she faces. She believes everyone has something to offer, but seeks to find people who will take the field where it needs to go.Olivia’s genuine concern about the well-being of the people we support is evident in every task she takes on, and her positive attitude is contagious and motivating. We are proud to recognize Olivia as our Employee of the Year for 2018.
