Residential Site Supervisor

Catholic Charities Disabilities Services (CCDS) a leader in services for individuals with developmental disabilities, is now hiring for a Site Supervisor within our Residential Services Department.

Location: Schenectady, NY

Job Summary:The Site Supervisor is a position responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) and is expected to work in tandem with an individual’s support team; including, family, CCDS Nursing, administration, and clinical staff to provide well rounded, person-centered supports.

Responsibilities include; but are not limited too:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the IRA programs.
  • Supervise and evaluate all Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) that work at that location.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety, advancement and well-being of all residents of the program.
  • Ensure that DSPs are providing quality services and are in compliance with the rules and regulations of the agency and the Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
  • Complete and maintain staff schedules, ensuring minimum staffing requirements are met.
  • Supervise all aspects of safety, health and emergency procedures and keep appropriate records.
  • Ensure that staff are aware and knowledgeable of treatment plans and general philosophy of the residence.
  • Ensure that staff have knowledge of and adhere to agency Personnel Policies and Practices.
  • Report maintenance needs of program as appropriate. May complete personally, or assign staff to do minor as appropriate.
  • Ensure that resident’s funds are spent appropriately and all receipts for expenses are obtained and submitted.
  • Ensure appropriate ordering of food, supplies, etc.
  • Report and intercede on an immediate basis, regarding any evidence of client abuse, neglect, and/or unsafe conditions to the appropriate party/parties, in accordance with Incident Management and Abuse Prevention Training, including the following: Director of Quality Assurance, Regional Residential Program Manager or the Administrator On-Call, Justice Center, and/or Executive Director.
  • Ensure Direct Support Professionals attend scheduled trainings, and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Supervise and monitor appropriate reports, data, and record keeping by the direct support professionals.
  • Work cooperatively and harmoniously with clinical staff to ensure that goals of clients are being met and enhanced.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understand duel diagnosis
  • Ability to provide training to Direct Support Professionals in areas of active programming


  • A high school diploma/GED required: higher education preferred
  • Valid NYS driver's license and personal transportation; required
  • Two years of experience providing excellent care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting; experience working with individuals with PW is strongly preferred
