Catholic Charities Disabilities Services has always been focused on the needs of the individuals we serve and we continually strive to improve our services. To that end, this past October we were accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) as an agency providing person- centered excellence. Person-centered excellence is about empowering people to direct their own lives and strive for their own valued outcomes, whether it’s as simple as deciding on a paint color for one’s room or complex as directing one’s own ISP meeting.

Over the next four years, under the guidance of CQL, CCDS will develop and implement a plan to support the individuals we serve to live the lives they want. During this planning process, we decided that it’s important to seek continued input and advice from our stakeholders as well as to help inform our community about our progress and what person-centered excellence is all about.

To that end, we will be holding the first of what we hope to be at least semi-annual stake holder meetings on May 6th here at our Park Place offices beginning at 6:30 PM. The meeting will consist of two parts. The first will be a presentation on “Personal Outcome Measures” interviews which will describe what they are, how they are administered and what they mean for the people interviewed. Following this presentation, we will open the floor to questions and comments.

We very much hope to see you on May 6th. If you are coming, please RSVP to Mark Keegan at (518) 724-1822 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
