Director of Residential Operations

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, some flexibility required

Location: Primarily based at our office in Colonie, NY, but some travel to our Residential programs within the Capital District is necessary

Position Description:

Catholic Charities Disabilities Services is currently seeking a Director of Residential Services.

This is an outstanding opportunity for the experienced candidate to lead a highly motivated team, committed to excellence and innovation in the provision of residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the Capital District.

The Director of Residential Services will be responsible for the department’s leadership and will oversee all services to individuals living within our 17 residential programs. In addition to strong leadership skills, we are seeking an individual with extensive experience in the field of developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is one who has the ability to promote teamwork, embrace agency core values, and develop communication channels that engage the department in a culture of excellence. In addition, candidates must have a thorough knowledge of the OPWDD system, rules and regulations.

Qualified candidates must meet the minimum requirements of a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) and have a minimum of five years’ upper management experience, overseeing residential programs for persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. A Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field is required; Master’s Degree preferred. Experience in a CQL Accredited agency is a plus. NYS Valid Driver License and personal transportation are required, as some travel within the Capital District is necessary.
