Associate Director of Residential Operations

This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of our leadership team at Catholic Charities Disabilities Services, providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities living across the Capital District.

Our Residential Department is currently seeking an Associate Director of Residential Operations.  This department provides oversight and management of the daily operations and staffing to 16 residences, 79 total individuals, and approximately 150 staff members.

This Associate Director will oversee the operations within an assigned cluster of our various facilities (ICF’s and IRA’s).  Qualified candidates should possess the following skills:

  • Ability and confidence to mentor and supervise direct support professionals, supervisory staff, and provide required administrative oversight to several programs.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with implementation and follow up of internal / external audits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understands person centered approach and quality-of-life planning
  • Strong knowledge of the DSP Core Competencies, HCBS Settings, and CQL practices.
  • Knowledge of residential program fiscal management, responsibility and integrity
  • Knowledge of NYS and Medicaid regulatory compliance and billing laws
  • Ability to work harmoniously with agency personnel, outside agencies, other interested parties and members of the community at large

The successful candidate will have proven accomplishments in the development and/or oversight of residential programs, and their day to day operations.

Qualified candidates must meet the minimum requirements of a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional and have a minimum of five years’ experience working directly with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.  A Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field is required; Master’s Degree preferred. Experience in certified residential operations and management is required. Some travel within the Capital District is necessary.
