About Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities Disabilities Services (CCDS), an agency of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany began serving people with developmental disabilities in 1984. You probably already know of Catholic Charities and the great services it provides in so many ways. Where there is human need, Catholic Charities is there to support people. It can be said that Catholic Charities operates in a holistic way.
Catholic Charities has been a vibrant and respected service provider since 1917. In the early eighties, Catholic Charities recognized the need to support people with developmental and related disabilities and Catholic Charities Disabilities Services was born. Since then, Catholic Charities Disabilities Services has grown to be one of the largest and most respected service providers for people with developmental disabilities.
In addition to our 24-hour residential services, we also provide a wide variety of services to people who reside in the community, either in the family home or their own house or apartment. We serve eleven counties within the Greater Capital District region.
Although we work collaboratively with a large network of quality service providers, we are a provider of choice and we encourage you to contact us and find out how we may be able to serve you. We welcome you.
